Judy Bowen McAllister Terrell

Judy Bowen McAllister Terrell, age 67 of Buford formerly of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

Born in White County on September 19, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Hazel Hogan Bowen. Mrs. Terrell was a member of Habersham Baptist Church and had worked for American Signature Furniture.  She was a giving person who would always lend a helping hand to others.  She was an evangelistic layperson with a true servant’s heart.  Mrs. Terrell enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Freddie McAllister; granddaughter, Celeste Terrell; sister, Lois Cannon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Pearl McAllister; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clark and Sue Terrell.

Surviving are husband, Jerry Clark Terrell of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Chris Banks of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Brenda McAllister of Cornelia and Clete and Lauren Terrell of Cumming; grandchildren, Alexa McAllister, Jackson McAllister, Taylor Banks, Avery Banks and Ellary Terrell; sisters and brother-in-law, Blondine Freeman and Fredine Collins (Raymond Collins, Sr.) all of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Nan Bowen of Cleveland;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services are 3 pm Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Johnny Thomas and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Habersham Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday and from 10 am – 12 noon on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
