Carolyn Watkins Puckette

Ms. Carolyn Watkins Puckette, age 79, of Flowery Branch passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, after a period of declining health.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Paul Wade will officiate.   The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Ms. Puckette was born January 21, 1936 to the late Jay Samuel & Sadie Marie Watkins in Pickens, South Carolina.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flowery Branch and Buford Eastern Star.  Ms. Puckette was retired from Charter Communications, where she was a Systems Analyst.  An avid bowler, she loved reading and crossword puzzles.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Louise Arpin.

Ms. Puckette is survived by her son, Bryan Puckette of Flowery Branch; son & daughter-in-law, David & DeAnne Puckette of Hoschton; daughters & sons-in-law, Barbara & Greg Bostwick of Flowery Branch and Kelly & Frank Anderson of Flowery Branch; daughter & daughter-in-law, Susan Puckette & Frances Gorham of Statham; grandchildren, Joey & Amanda Bostwick, Jay Bostwick, Justin Bostwick, Ashley Puckette, Forrest Puckette, Chloe Puckette, Sydney Puckette and Dawson Puckette; great-grandchild, Amelia Bostwick; brother & sister-in-law, Wayne & Bonnie Watkins of Conyers; sister-in-law, Charlotte Watkins of Covington; several nephews and a niece.

Ms. Puckette was a 16 year Breast Cancer Survivor.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hall County Relay for Life/American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, Suite 114, Gainesville, GA  30501, www.cancer.org.
