Willis Brison Davenport

Willis Brison Davenport, age 65 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Davenport was born on December 12, 1949, in Helen, GA, to the late Willard and Monterree Taylor Davenport.  He was employed by Charles Black Construction and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  Mr. Davenport was preceded in death by his sister, Edith Barrett; brothers, Calvin Davenport and Arnold Davenport.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Davenport, Cleveland; sons, Mitchell Davenport and Michael Davenport, both of Cleveland; grandchildren, Carden Davenport, Aurelia Davenport, and Penelope Davenport; sister, Edna Stonecypher, Cleveland; brother, Franklin Davenport, Demorest.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Bobby Taylor, the Rev. Tom Etterlee, and the Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
