Johnnie Ervin Simmons

            Mr. Johnnie Ervin Simmons, age 87 of Alford, Florida, formerly of Flowery Branch, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Paul Wade will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Simmons was born July 6, 1928 in Flowery Branch, Georgia to the late Lummus Ervin Simmons and Mae Pruitt Simmons.  He was retired as the Owner/Operator of Simmons Wrecker and was of the Baptist Faith.  Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Agnes Morris Simmons and his son, Leland Simmons.

            Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Shirley Burch Simmons of Alford, Florida, 4 step-children, 12 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
