Marion H. Hicks

Marion H. Hicks, age 63, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a long illness.

Marion was born in Anderson, SC and had lived in Lumpkin County for many years. He was retired truck driver with Hall County Government. Marion served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Living Waters Outreach in Murrayville.

He was the son of the late Walter and Barbara Hicks and was also preceded in death by a son, Claudio Chamorro.

Marion is survived by his wife, Laura Hicks; sons, Bryan Hicks, Mark Hicks, and Tommy Hicks; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and Larry Lingerfelt, and Cindy Long, all of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Isabella Hicks, Ava Hicks, Draven Hicks, and Brooke Hicks. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Marion are scheduled for 11 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Pastor Jammie Fortner will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, Jul 14, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
