Kenneth Thomas

Kenneth Thomas, age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 following an extended illness.

Mr. Thomas was born on April 14, 1929, in Clarkesville, GA to the late Dennis and Flossie Palmer Thomas.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Argen Westmoreland Thomas and granddaughter, Carey Sisk.  Mr. Thomas was a member of Cool Springs United Methodist Church.  He served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Thomas helped finish completion of Clarkesville Mill, then started working as an employee of Clarkesville Mill retiring after 40 years of loyal and dedicated service. 

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law; Arlene and Wayne Sisk, Clarkesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Connie Thomas, Clarkesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Doris Thomas, Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Chitwood, Chase and Brittany Thomas, Cody Thomas and Kimberly Ramsey; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Maverick Chitwood.

 Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Whitfield North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Steve McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.   

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Whitfield Funeral Home North Chapel on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
