Harry Dean Maret

Harry Dean Maret, 80, of Cumming, GA passed away on May 6, 2015. Born in Atlanta, GA, Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Escar and father, Paul, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His grandson, Mack Burgess and son-in-law, Ed Fitton also preceded him in death.

Dean served in the US Navy.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Maret of Cumming, GA; daughter, Dede Fitton of Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Joey Hackett of Pleasant Garden, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Banks Burgess of Roswell, GA; and much-loved grandchildren, Nicholas, Geoffrey, Amanda, Alex, Jody, Haley, and Sancken; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, May 11, 2015 in the chapel of McDonald & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 10:30 am until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Dean’s honor to Homestead Hospice, 10888 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA 30075.
