Hattie May Bynum Smith McClure

Hattie May Bynum Smith McClure, age 89, of Braselton, GA passed away on April 4, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

Following a graveside service to honor Mrs. McClure, she will be laid to rest in the Veteran’s Valor Section of Memorial Park Cemetery at 11a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 with her husband Louis Calvin McClure, Sr.

Mrs. McClure was born on September 3, 1925, in Bonanza, AR to the late Ivington Callaway Bynum and Myrtle Addie Hice. Hattie was a homemaker. Hattie and her husband enjoyed square dancing for many years. She was very active in her church and community.

                Preceding Mrs. McClure in death are her parents, husbands, Jesse Alfred Smith of Boron, CA and Louis Calvin McClure, Sr. of Braselton, GA; 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and son Gregory W. Smith of Red Bluff, CA.

Mrs. McClure is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Louis Jr. and Angie McClure of Braselton, GA; Mark and Beth McClure of Decatur, IL; Larry and Debbie Smith of Lawndale, CA; and many wonderful grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren whom she loved very much.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations in honor be made to the Blackshear Baptist Church Building Fund, 3428 Atlanta Highway, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
