Horace Elbert Campbell

Horace Elbert Campbell, age 82 of Alto, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 following an extended illness.

Born in Wichita, Kansas on December 24, 1932, he was the son of the late Horace E. & Susie Langdale Campbell. Mr. Campbell served in the United States Army and was a retired Corporate Attorney, working with the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) for many years. Upon retirement, Mr. Campbell and his wife, Corinne, moved to Banks County where he continued to practice law in the Cornelia area for over 20 years. He served as an Elder with the Homer Presbyterian Church for a number of years and was an active member of the Cornelia First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Corinne Harden Campbell, Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, II Lieutenant, Joe & Shannon Campbell, Alto; Will & Gretchen Campbell, Virginia Beach, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue & Steve Arbogast, Houston, TX; Fran & Jack Sline, Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren,

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia with the Rev. Bill Ford, Jr., Rev. Blaine Walker and the Rev. Jason Edwards officiating.

A reception will follow the service in the Scoggins Fellowship Hall.

All family and friends are requested to meet at the church by 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
