Alice Mae (Osborne) Bell

Obituary Date: Wednesday, November 26, 2014
Mrs. Alice Mae (Osborne) Bell, age 98, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the home of her youngest son and daughter-in-law in Gainesville.

Interment will be at the Village Cemetery of South Hadley Falls, MA, pending final arrangements.

Born Alice Mae Osborne in South Hadley Falls, MA on November 29, 1915, she was the oldest daughter of the late Howard R. and Helen L. Osborne of South Hadley, MA. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Thomas Frank Bell, a U.S. Navy Seabees veteran of World War II.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her sons, Thomas Howard Bell and wife Maureen of Springfield, MA and Bryan Frederick Bell and wife Arlene of Gainesville, GA; sister, Thelma Constant of Longmeadow, MA. Other survivors include grandchildren, Thomas H. Bell Jr. and wife, Johanna of Hingham, MA; James W. Bell and wife Caroline of Newton, MA; Bryan F. Bell, Jr. and wife Ashley of York, PA; Grey K. Bell and wife Lindsay of LaGrange, GA; Rebecca E. Karcher and husband Russell of Gainesville, GA; step-granddaughter, Kerri L. Prince and husband Jess of Gainesville, GA; Mrs. Bell also leaves seven great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia 845 West Ridge Road Gainesville, GA 30501.

The family would like to send out a special 'Thank You' to the staff of Hospice of Northeast Georgia.
