Kathleen McDaniel Banks

Mrs. Kathleen McDaniel Banks, age 83, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Bunyan F. Banks; and brother, Leon McDaniel. She is survived by her children, Judy Banks, Flowery Branch, GA, Joel and Darlene Banks, Gainesville, GA, and Jennifer and Doug Beaver, Braselton, GA; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; sister, Carol Bannister, Flowery Branch, GA; sister-in-law, Ruby McDaniel, Flowery Branch, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Banks was born March 28, 1931 in Dacula, GA. She was a retired dietary worker and a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA. She was a writer and enjoyed painting pictures. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Shadburn officiating. Interment will follow at Open Door Baptist Church Cemetery, 5505 Hog Mountain Road, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
