Zennie Weaver

Mrs. Zennie Weaver, age 101, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014.

She was born and raised in Gilmer County, and moved to Lumpkin County in 1960. Zennie was a homemaker and had many talents to include cooking, gardening, sewing, art, and quilting. She was a member at Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church in Gilmer County, GA. She was a remarkable woman.

Zennie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Brown Weaver and Maggie Peek Weaver; husband of 71 years, Paul Weaver; son, Jack Weaver; granddaughters, Teresa Marie Weaver and Patricia Gail Weaver; daughters-in-law, Jean Weaver and Kathy Weaver, several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Weaver, Dahlonega, GA, Hoyt and Peggy Ann Weaver, Bennett, NC, Mark & Barbara Weaver, Dahlonega, GA, Fred and Ruth Weaver, Gainesville, GA, Joseph Perry and Glenda Sue Weaver, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Polly and J.B. Bearden, Peggy and Charles Hood, all of Dahlonega, GA; daughter-in-law, Doris Weaver, Dahlonega, GA; 22 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Zennie are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Elder Paul Mooney and Elder Dan Hall will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Tickanetley Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 2PM until 8PM on Monday, August 25, 2014 and from 9AM until time of service on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
