Tony Russell (Ragman) Ballard Sr

Tony Russell (Ragman) Ballard Sr., passed away on August 19, 2014 at Chestnut Ridge Nursing & Rehab following an extended illness.


Graveside Services will be held 2:00pm Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Ballard was born on August 3, 1936 in Thomaston, GA, to the late Willis Ballard and Evie Lou Ballard. Tony had lived in Cumming since 1971. He was a Veteran and a member of VFW Post 9143. He was of Baptist Faith.


Mr. Ballard is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores; sons, Tony Jr. wife Cindy, David wife Sandy, Danny wife Melissa, and Bobby, all of whom reside in Georgia. Grandchildren; Amanda (Ballard) Wallis, Jennifer Ballard, Russ Ballard III, Jeremy Ballard, Ansley Ballard and Rachel Ballard. Great grandchildren Mason, Bryson, Maddie, Aubrie, Tony IV.
