Myrtle Flanagan Douglas

Mrs. Myrtle Flanagan Douglas age 84 of Oakwood passed away on Tuesday July 01, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday July 05, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Mike Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 03, 2014 and Friday July 04, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Douglas was born on January 05, 1930 in Gainesville, Ga to the late Willie L. Flanagan and Amy Bell Brookshire Flanagan. She was a homemaker and was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lucille Wasdin, sister, Edna Jordan, sister, Frances Strickland, sisters, Martha Patterson, brother, Frank Flanagan, brother, George Flanagan, brother, James Flanagan.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Douglas of Oakwood, sister, Wilma Peters of Flowery Branch, sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Larry Douglas of Oakwood, brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt and Linda Flanagan, number of nieces and nephews.
