Johnny Thomas Dale

Obituary Date: Wednesday, June 4, 2014

Johnny Thomas Dale, 66, of Lula, GA., passed away on June 4, 2014 as a result of an extended illness.





Johnny was a 1968 graduate of East Hall High School. He served his country proudly in the Marine Corp. from 1968-1971. He was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon. Johnny retired from BellSouth with 30 years of service.



Johnny loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His passion was hunting and fishing with his boys and grandson.



He is preceded in death by his brother, Greg Garrison.



He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborrah Dale; mother and step father, Regina and Ronnie Gunter of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Eric and Ashley Dale of Gillsville, Rev. Chad and Mandy Dale of Gainesville; grandchildren, Luke, Emma, Marleigh and Anna Dale; sisters, Angie Ravan of Gainesville and Laurie Bryant of Murrayville; brother in law and sister in law, Delma and Frieda Simmons of Lula as well as several nieces and nephews.



A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday June 6, 2014 at Timber Ridge Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Delma Simmons, Rev. Chad Dale, Rev. Danny Miller, Rev. Dwayne Ryals and Rev. Greg Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.



In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Timber Ridge Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
