Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Arlene Marie Lovejoy, 56, of Gainesville Ga., who passed away on Saturday, May 31,2014.
Mrs. Lovejoy was born in Huntington, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Kyle Dewane Scraggs and Mrs. Madeline Jewell Wellman of Nine Mile, West Virginia. Mrs. Lovejoy worked at Direct Sales International for many years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Lovejoy attended Revival Baptist Church in Pendergrass, Georgia and previously at Pinegrove Methodist Church in Midkiff, West Virginia.
Mrs. Lovejoy was preceded in death by her Father Kyle Scraggs, and Loving Husband of 39 years Fredrick Lovejoy, and Nephew, Michael Harris.
Survivors include her Sons -Steven, Jason, and Brandon Lovejoy, Daughter in Laws- Jennifer Lovejoy, Terri Lovejoy and Rosa Lovejoy, Mother Madeline Wellman, Midkiff, West Virginia, Mother In Law- Rosetta Lovejoy, Ranger, West Virginia, Sister- Tammy Moses, Gainesville Georgia . Grandchildren, Hunter, Rhiannon, Brandon Jr, Cheyenne, Adelyn Lovejoy, Hannah LaValley, Taylor and Kyle Freeman. and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be Saturday June 7, 2014 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home Chapel, 6670 McClellan Street, West Hamlin, West Virginia 25571 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Donald Lovejoy officiating. Interment will follow at Wellman-Bellomy Cemetery on Nine Mile Road. The family will receive friends on Friday June 1, 2014 from 6-8PM at the McGhee-Handley Funeral Home.
