Klate James Thomas Wehunt

Obituary Date: Monday, April 21, 2014
Mr.Klate James Thomas Wehunt, age 14, of Dahlonega, GA, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Egleston Children's Health Care of Atlanta with his family by his side.

Klate was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was an 8th grade student at Lumpkin County Middle School.

Klate was a loving son, brother and friend to all he met. He was always generous and giving to others. He was a blessing to everyone and we can't wait until the day we see him again. We know he is in heaven playing Xbox with all of his many friends and playing all the sports he has wanted to play. His breath is strong and his heart even stronger and every step he takes is a leap of joy. It was an honor that God chose us to be his parents. It was a blessing to be there when he left this world and entered into the presence of the Lord.

Klate is survived by his parents, J.T. and Shannen Wehunt; sister, Kre Wehunt; grandparents, Danny and Georgia McDonald of Murrayville, GA, James Wehunt, Sr., Dahlonega, GA, Eddie and Kay Puckett, Murrayville, GA, Jeannie Byrd, Alpharetta, GA; aunts and uncles, John Daniel and Chelsea McDonald, Jonathan Stevens, Jesus and Lisa Shark; cousins, Zach and Sophia Montgomery and Megan Allison; and special friends, Joseph and Joshua Chastain.
