Thelma Ruth Dunson Worley

Mrs. Thelma Ruth Dunson Worley age 79 of Lula passed away on Thursday March 27, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday March 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 29, 2014 from2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mrs. Worley was born on July 24, 1934 in Homer, Ga to the late Fred Dunson and Irene Ash Dunson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She loved working with her flowers especially her daylilies. She also loved to cook particularly her pound cakes. She was loved very much, but she is now in heaven with her mama and husband which she truly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Morgan Chandler Worley, brother, Marvin Dunson.


She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Joe Thomas of Lula, grand-daughter, Erin Morgan Thomas who was her world, sister, Helen Scales of Homer, numerous brother and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.
