Mary Frank "Frankie" Jackson Armour

Mary Frank "Frankie" Jackson Armour, age 69, of Cornelia (formerly of Gainesville), passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born on July 11, 1944 in Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Arlington and Birtie Mae Little Jackson. Mrs. Armour graduated from East Hall High School and then North Georgia College with a degree in Nursing. She was a nurse for 40 years and worked at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, formally known as Hall County Hospital, in Gainesville, GA and Habersham County Medical Center in Demorest, GA. She spent her life showing her love and compassion through her nursing profession. Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, and cooking. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Moses Armour; her grandparents, Marion M. and Minnie Nix Jackson, Clyde R. and Reba Dobbs Little; brothers, James "Jimmy" Jackson, Charles R. Jackson; brother-in-law James "Tody" Mangum; and step-son, Kinney Armour.

Survivors include step-sons, Bradley and Shirl Armour of Maysville; Shane and Connie Armour of Gillsville; sister, Edna M. Jackson Mangum of Flowery Branch; nieces, Carolyn and Barron Grant of Gainesville, Pam and Paul Clendennin of Flowery Branch; great nieces, Lindsey and Wesley Erickson, Laura Grant of Gainesville; Kaelin Clendennin, Kellie Clendennin of Flowery Branch; great nephew Trent Clendennin of Flowery Branch; great great nephew, Brooks Grant Erickson; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Little-Davenport Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, GA. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 pm Monday, March 17 and 1-3 pm March 18 at Little-Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30501.
