Reeves William Daniel

Reeves William Daniel, age 89, of Homer, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014.




Mr. Daniel was born on January 5, 1925, in Clarkesville, Georgia; son of the late John Columbus and Essie Christine McNabb Daniel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lola Coffey Daniel; brothers, Virgil Daniel and Billy Daniel; sisters, Latrell Daniel and Gwyndolee Braswell. Mr. Daniel served in the United States Army, Air Force, and was a WWII Veteran. He was a member of the Banks County Republican Party and was a Delegate to the republican Convention in 1996.




Survivors include Daughters and sons in law, Andrea and Randall Sims, Dacula, Virginia and Jamie Jarrell, Homer, Mary and Joe Strickland, Cornelia, Martha Daniel and Brett Slack, Norcross; sons and daughters in law, David and Catherine Daniel, Maysville, Richard and Angie Daniel, Lula, Don and Cynthia Daniel, Homer; son, Mark Daniel, Suwanee; brother, Bobby Daniel, Homer; nineteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grand children; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.




Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Shawn Bateman officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church cemetery with military honors, provided by The Georgia National Guard.




The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
