Marie "Nanny" Robertson Johnson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Marie "Nanny" Robertson Johnson, age 74, of Hoschton, who passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Mrs. Johnson was born in Hoschton, Georgia, a daughter to the late Grady Leonard "Slim" Robertson and the late Maggie Matthews Robertson. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and owned and operated Winners Circle BBQ, and for many years kept numerous children of the community in her home. "Nanny" as she was affectionately called be most everyone in the community, was a member of the Walnut Fork Baptist Church and loved to cook and serve the community. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her son, Jeff "Grass" Johnson and brother, Royce Robertson.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Horace Johnson, Hoschton, daughter and son in law, Nancy Johnson Tabor and Michael of Pendergrass, sons, Randy "Radio" Johnson, Hoschton, Terry "Naner" Escoe, Braselton, sisters, Demaris Anglin, Jefferson, Corine Hix, Hoschton, Larie Robertson, Hoschton, brother, Quentin Robertson, Hoschton, 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, December 21, 11-3 p.m.
