Gordon Leon Kidd

Gordon Leon Kidd, age 83 of Gainesville, passed away November 27, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Shifflet and Rev. Zach Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Kidd was born December 15, 1929 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Mac and Rachel Wilson Kidd. He was retired from New Holland Mill and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Kidd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara Bell Shubert Kidd and his step-son, Billy Robinson.

Mr. Kidd is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Deborah Kidd of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Tammy Kidd of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Margaret Shubert of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Sosebee of Lula; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorine Hammond of Flowery Branch and sister, Virginia Whitfield of Gainesville.
