Dorothy McClain Duncan

Dorothy McClain Duncan, 89, of Tiger, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at her home.



She was born in Tiger, GA and was the daughter of the late Ray McClain and Rosa Bleckley McClain.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoke J. Duncan; two brothers, Dean McClain and Hugh McClain; and one sister, Mildred Chlupacek.



Mrs. Duncan is survived by four brothers, William McClain of Tiger, GA, Zane McClain of West Virginia, David McClain of Gainesville, GA, and Mike McClain, of Rome, GA; and several nieces and nephews.



She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dalton and attended Tiger Baptist Church. For many years she was a high school teacher for the Dalton School District. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was an avid Georgia fan.



The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home Friday, November 29, 2013 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark McClain officiating. Committal services will be held at 2 PM at the Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA.
