Mary Lee Romanelli Simmons

Mary Lee Romanelli Simmons, age 55 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Coleman will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Simmons was born June 11, 1958 in Queens, New York to the late Joseph Vincent Romanelli and Lee Demundo Romanelli. She was a homemaker and a member of The Highlands Church.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband, Walter Simmons of Gainesville, her sons, Walter Carl "Sam" Simmons, II, Miguel Joseph Simmons and Jarvis Patrick Simmons, all of Gainesville, sister, Frances Ann Ruiz of St. Petersburg, Florida, brother, Joseph James Romanelli of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and a number of other relatives and friends.
