Sarah Allen Cooper

Sarah Allen Cooper, 77, of Gainesville, Georgia entered her heavenly rest on July 20, 2013.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville with The Reverend Dean Taylor officiating. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the service. Graveside services will be private.

Sarah was born in Greenville, SC on August 25, 1935 to Lemuel Rice and Sadie Jones Allen. After graduating from Gainesville High School and Brenau University she moved to Orlando to start her family. She returned to Gainesville in 1990 and remained here until her death. She was a devout member of Grace Episcopal Church, and leaves behind many lifelong and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lemuel Rice Allen, Jr.

Sarah is survived by her children, Allen Cooper (Julia) of Orlando, Fl. and Mary Catherine Ambrose (Ben) of Gainesville, GA. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Allison and Carson Cooper and Cooper and Carter Ambrose.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her honor to Grace Episcopal Church 422 Brenau Avenue NE, Gainesville GA 30501.
