Martha Sarah Harris Ferguson

Martha Sarah Harris Ferguson, age 82, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away
on Saturday, June 29, 2013, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Ferguson was born in Clarkesville, Georgia on May 25, 1931, to
late the Roscoe and Bertha Senkbeil Harris. In addition to her parents
she was preceded in death by her husband, William Amos Ferguson, Sr.
and a brother, George Harris. Mrs. Ferguson had been a Dual Membership
with First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville, and Level Grove
Baptist Church, Cornelia. Before retirement she had been employed with
Carwood Manufacturing and Riegel Textiles.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Randy
Strickland, Cornelia; son, William A. Ferguson, Jr., Cornelia; son and
daughter-in-law, Douglas R. and Jeannette Ferguson, Clermont; sisters,
Susanna York, Clermont and Elizabeth and Bevis Simmons, Winder;
brother, Robert and Lisa Harris, Liberty Hill, Texas; five
grandchildren and spouses, Trista and Brad Grizzle, Joey Ferguson,
Pamela and Kurt Gosnell, Chase Strickland, and Tanner Strickland two
great-grandchildren, Makenzie Gosnell and Levi Gosnell.

Funeral services are schedule for 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at
Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev.
Milton Harris and Rev. Lisa Graves officiating. Interment will follow
in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terry Rice officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2,
2013, and 12:30 until the funeral hour on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at
Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
