Patsy Ann Crane

Obituary Date: Tuesday, April 23, 2013


Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m Sunday April 28, 2013 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Patsy Crane age 76. Pastor Tabor Nudd will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m at the funeral home.

Patsy McCartney Crane was born April 7, 1937 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Dye High School and was inducted into the United States Air Force in July, 1955 where she met her husband, Charles. They spent the next 24 years serving their country and raising a family. They retired to Gainesville, GA in 1978 where they began their civilian life. Patsy worked numerous places in Gainesville among them were Lanier Park Hospital and Frame Makers Gallery. In her final retirement she enjoyed researching her family's genealogy and history. She started this journey by going to Ireland with her brother to their ancestral home. Although she loved learning the history of her family, her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed watching them in all of their accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Lamar Crane, Father and Mother, Robert and Leona McCartney, Brothers Robert E McCartney and Theodore J McCartney, Special Aunt, Nancy Domanski, Brother in law, JC Gibson, and Special nephew, Jimmy Gibson

Survivors include Children; Christopher Crane and his partner Sharmae Sieg, Oscoda, MI. His children Nichole Adam(Crane), Gainesville, GA and Danielle (Crane) and her Husband Channing Will "Prince Charming", Oscoda, MI. Her great-grandchildren Colton Adam and Cooper Adam, Michele Crane-Santos and husband Frank Santos, Flowery Branch, GA and their son Franklin Santos, San Francisco, CA, Lisa Crane and husband Thanh To and their daughter Marilyn To, Gainesville, GA, Michael Crane and wife Mai Ly and their children Laura, Charles and Robert of Rogers, AR, Sister Marilyn (Goldie) Elaine McCartney Gibson, Gainesville, GA, Special niece Lynn Crane Clemmons, Murrayville, GA, Special nephew Jeffrey Gibson, Fenton, MI and numerous other nieces and nephews.
