Margaret Stevens Holman

Margaret "Peggy" Stevens Holman, age 80 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Holman was born September 24, 1932 in Hall County to the late John and Ruth Park Stevens. She worked in the office of J.D. Jewel and then retired after 20 years from Coronet Carpet where she worked in the personnel office. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland serving as secretary and treasurer for the Women's Circle before her health declined. Before moving to Cleveland Mrs. Holman was very active at Memorial Park Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and served as secretary and treasurer for the Women's Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband L.J. Holman, sisters, Kathryn Kelley, Virginia Chandler and Frances Walpole.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Larry Winkler, Cleveland; grandchildren, Ansley Winkler, Ryan and Noel Latty, all of Cleveland; Jenny Canada, Gainesville; Kristy Winkler, Atlanta; great granddaughter, Olivia Latty; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Joe Walls, Cumming; brother, George Stevens, Atlanta; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Sunday, April 7, 2013 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Dr. Joe Vernon, the Rev. Hoyt Winkler and the Rev. Paul Evans will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
