Nancy Elise Heard

Nancy Elise Heard, of Cumming, GA, age 63, passed away on March 3, 2013.

She was a lifelong member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. Nancy attended Forsyth County High School, graduated from Brenau Academy and Brenau College and received a Masters Degree in Education from North Georgia College. She retired from the Forsyth County Board of Education after teaching many years at Sawnee Elementary School. Nancy was a dedicated educator and is remembered fondly by many of her former students. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Mark Heard, Jr.



Survivors include her sisters and brother-in-law, Paula Gault (Robert) Hughes, Patricia Heard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack (Nancy W.) Heard, Sam (Mary) Heard; loving nieces and nephews, Kelley K. Story, Kristin K. Martin-Mohr, Jessica Heard, Jonathan Heard, Caroline Heard, Elizabeth Heard, Mark J. Heard; aunts, Mary H. McClure, Jeane Mills all of Cumming, GA and other family and friends.



Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Coal Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coal Mountain Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
