Lucille Nellie Askew

Mrs. Lucille Nellie Askew, 89 of Gainesville died Friday February 9, 2013 at the Oaks at Limestone.

Born in West Virginia, Mrs. Askew had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Marion Franklin and Nannie Lanier Stanley. Mrs. Askew worked in retail sales for a number of years at Big G in Gainesville. Mrs. Askew attended the Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; James and Becky Askew, Flowery Branch; Marty and Jane Askew, Murrayville; son, Ronnie Askew, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law; Charlotte and Sam Forrester, Gainesville; sister, Muriel Wright, Texas.
7 Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Askew is preceded in death by her husband, Jamie Askew and a grandchild, Chris Askew.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 12, 2013 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lamar Purcell and Marty Askew will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends and the funeral home Monday February 11, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
