Brenda Sue Ledford Smith

Funeral services for Brenda Sue Ledford Smith, age 63, of Turnerville will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 5:30 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery and the family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, February 04, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born on March 24, 1949 in Rabun County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Howard and Eva Mae Ledford. Mrs. Smith was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years Charles Smith of Turnerville, son and daughter in law Shawn and Aundie Smith of Demorest, brothers and sisters in law Eugene and Pat Ledford of Mountain City, Larry and Janice Ledford and Howard and Judy Ledford, Jr. all of Hollywood, sisters Virginia Frankum of Clarkesville, Catherine Ledford of Hollywood, and Helen Lewis of Turnerville, sisters and brothers in law Carole and Bill Black of Clarkesville, Gail and Carol Stancil of Toccoa, Wanda and Charles Pittman of Woodstock, Liz and Junior Sugg of Hollywood, and Martha and Chuck Hazel of Hollywood, as well as one grandchild.
