Archie Carlisle, 67, of Maysville, GA, passed away December 30, 2012.
A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was born on November 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Roy William and Willie Strickland Carlisle. He was retired from Tunco Manufacturing. He was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Terry Lackey.
Mr. Carlisle is survived by his wife, Mary Chambers Carlisle of Maysville; children, Frankie and Donna Carlisle of Winder, Joe Mincey of Gainesville, Marcy Mincey of Helen, Sherry and J.B. Savage of Maysville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Homer Carlisle of Flowery Branch, Howard Carlisle of Bethlehem; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Buddy Jones of Dawsonville and a number of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Pruitt and Rev. Dennis West will officiate. Interment will be in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, Ga. the family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
