Rachel Ginn Barrett

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Rachel Ginn Barrett, 87, Jefferson, Ga., who passed away on December 12, 2012.

Mrs. Barrett was born in Franklin County, Ga. a daughter of the late James Harrison and Lena Hart Ginn. Mrs. Barrett was a homemaker and a member of Apple Valley Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 14, 2012 at 2:00 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Wright and Rev. Clarence Cannon officiating. Interment will be at Apple Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Those honored to serve, as pallbearers, will be Matthew Barrett, Joey Barrett, Blake Gooch, Justin Gooch, Joseph Carter, Justin Kennedy and Taylor Kennedy. The family will receive friends on Thursday December 13, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elwyn Barrett, sisters, Mattie Lou Atkinson, Janie Ruth Dean, and brothers, Rev. William Ginn, George Ginn, Jimmy Ginn, Milton Ginn, and James Ginn

Survivors include her son, Larry (Laverne) Barrett, Jefferson, Ga, Daughters, Susan (Bobby) Gooch, Jefferson, Ga, and Kathy (Alan) Kennedy, Commerce, Ga, Grandchildren, Joey and Lynn Barrett, Matthew and Casey Barrett, Kristi and Donnie Johnston, Kelli and Joseph Carter, Justin and Melissa Gooch, Blake and Jennifer Gooch, Justin and Jessica Kennedy and Taylor Kennedy, Great grandchildren, Logan Johnston, Tyler Johnston, and Graysen Johnston, Brennan Carter, Chelsey and Jayden Gooch, Addison Gooch, Lauren Barrett, Cason Barrett, Ryder Barrett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
