James Edward McColskey

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. James Edward McColskey, age 76, of Jefferson, who passed away on November 18, 2012.

Mr. McColskey was born in Whitesville, NC a son to the late Steven and Georgia Alma Williamson McColskey. Mr. McColskey was retired from the U.S. Navy, serving in the Vietnam War, and later worked as an auto mechanic. Mr. McColskey was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Jefferson.

Survivors include his sons, Steve (Nedra) McColskey, Jefferson, Wade McColskey, Seattle, WA, daughter, Nancy (Jay) Nobles, Florence, SC, brother, Neal McColskey, Greenville, SC, sister, Jewell Green, Whiteville, NC, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Mike McLemore officiating.

The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with Kyle Kasuba, Jeremy McColskey, Wesley Simonton, Tanner Thurmond, Aaron Anderson and Josh Harris honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Evans Funeral Home.
