Joyce Fay Evans

Joyce Fay Evans, age 67 of Oakwood, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.


Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, September 28, 2012 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Ronnie Conner will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 1:30 till 2:30, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Evans was born June 15, 1945 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Marvin Hayes and Cora Mae Jones Hayes. She retired from Fieldale Poultry and was a member of Oakwood Gospel Tabernacle. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Darryl Evans.

Ms. Evans is survived by her son, Thomas Wesley Evans of Oakwood, granddaughters, Tiffany Renee Evans of Oakwood and Heather Allison Evans of Oakwood, grandsons, Steven Evans and Ryan Evans, both of Gainesville, sisters, Bonnie Edge of Gainesville, Eunice Beasley of Murrayville, Jeanette Hayes of Oakwood and Nellie Conner of Blairsville, brother, Russell Hayes of Gainesville, great-grandchildren, Nathan Bennett, Kylie Farmer, Haden Bennett, Ansley Tatum and Conner Huff, all of Oakwood.



Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
