Jason Hix Carithers

Mr. Jason Hix Carithers, age 82, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Carithers was born in Commerce to the late Daniel and Lottie Hix Carithers. He was a member of Erastus Christian Church and was a retired high school teacher in the Henry County School System. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carithers was preceded in death by his wife, Leila Mae Grantham Carithers.

Mr. Carithers is survived by his daughter, Cathy Carithers of Commerce; sister, Linda Jane Carithers of Commerce; and one grandson, Anthony Licata of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Friday, September 21 at Erastus Christian Church with Mr. Steven Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hix Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Erastus Christian Church Thursday night from 6 to 8 PM.
