Peggy Elaine [Gray] Gloger

Obituary Date: Sunday, September 9, 2012

Mrs. Peggy Elaine [Gray] Gloger, age 65 of Gainesville, Georgia, entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was at peace and surrounded by many prayers, friends and family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Gainesville First United Methodist Church at 2780 Thompson Bridge Rd Gainesville, Georgia on Sunday September 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM . Dr. Terry Walton and Reverend Wendy Cordova will officiate.

Peggy was born April 19, 1947 in Roanoke Virginia. She was adopted by Mr. Joseph Y. Gray and Mrs. Margaret Hughes Gray. They lived in Charlottesville, Virginia. She attended nursing school at Lynchburg General Hospital and became an RN. She moved to West Palm Beach Florida in 1982 to attend the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale. She received her degree in Graphic Design and began working for the Palm Beach Post in 1985. She met Peter Lewis Gloger in 1983 and they were married May 10, 1985. They moved to Gainesville Georgia in 1992. Peggy went to work at The Times Newspaper in 1993 as a Graphic Artist and was promoted to Graphic Art Director. In 1998 she left the newspaper business and went to work for Merial Select Labs as a Senior Graphic Artist. In 2003 she started her own company Visual Graphic Design.
She joined Gainesville First United Methodist Church in 1994 and has remained a dedicated servant for the church. She joined Lost & Found Sunday School Class in 1994 and has remained an active member, Class President, Secretary, Mrs. Sunshine and many other titles over the years. Peggy served on various boards and helped in the early stages to bring Living Waters Praise & Worship Service to GFUMC. She never met a stranger and her kindness and gentle spirit was noted by all who knew her. Her gifts and talents will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Peter Lewis Gloger, Uncle Jack and Aunt Sue Hughes of Roanoke Virginia, Aunt Libby [Hughes] Cordell of Cincinnati, Ohio and 10 cousins that were like brothers and sisters to her, godson Jonathan Benton of Gainesville, mother-in-law Barbara Lillian [Henderson] Gloger and 3 brother-in-laws Russell A., Kurt L. and James F. Gloger. She was preceded in death by both of her parents who lived with her during their last years.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Peggy Gloger Memorial Fund at Regions Bank 3312 Thompson Bridge Rd Gainesville Ga 30506. Contributions will be dispersed between Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice, Gainesville First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Hall County Relay for Life [The Green Team] and Cheyboygan County Humane Society [Michigan where her mother-in-law has served on the board for 20 years].
