Leona Kimbrell Munch

LEONA KIMBRELL MUNCH, age 75, of Mableton went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2012.

She was born to Goldman Kimbrell and Evelyn Warren Kimbrell on May 2, 1937 in Cornelia, Georgia. She was raised with a loving family and after high school, she obtained her associates degree.

Leona worked as a paraprofessional for the Cobb County Board of Education for most of her life. She had worked 22 years with Riverside
Elementary School and later retired from Leland Elementary School.

She had met and married the love of her life, Vincent Reese Munch, and they had two beautiful children together, Kevin and LeaAnne. They were
later blessed with three grandchildren, Laura Ann, Kamron, and Daniel, and even one great-grandson, Trey.

She was a faithful and loving wife and mother. She was a beloved member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church since 1959 and was a member of
the Sanctuary Choir and Celebration Choir.

Leona will be missed by her family, church family, and friends.

Leona Kimbrell Munch is preceded in death by her parents, Goldman and Evelyn Kimbrell. She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent Reese Munch of Mableton; son, Kevin R. Munch and his wife Mary of Douglasville; daughter, LeaAnne Munch of Highpoint, North Carolina;
sister, Gwendolyn Cadora of Demorest; grandchildren, Laura Ann Christopher and her husband Greg, Kamron R. Munch, and Daniel G.
Munch; and great-grandson, Gregory Wayne "Trey" Christopher III.

The family will receive friends 4:00 pm-7:00 pm Monday, September 3, 2012 at Gene Davis-White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Mount Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton with Dr. J. Randall Whitten officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Harmony Baptist Churchyard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mount Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund.
