Charlotte Cooper Cozens

Obituary Date: Saturday, March 3, 2012
Charlotte Cooper Cozens, age 95 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Cozens was born October 22, 1916 in Comer, GA to the late Neal and Jessie Lou Cooper Cozens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland, where she was in Buffet Believers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Cozens was a painter and was the 1st runner up for the cover in the Scoop Magazine where her paintings were published. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Ronald Cozens, brothers Waco, Wayne, Neal and Tom Compton, sisters Hulda Petty and Amanda Weart.

Survivors include her son, George Cozens, Loganville; daughters, Vicki Irwin; Marietta; Ruth Cash, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Alex Cozens, Reed Cozens, Claire Cozens, Allen Irwin, Matt Irwin; great-grandchildren, Tessa-Jane Cozens, Delaney-Claire Cozens, Sierra Irwin, Ethan Irwin, Tyler Irwin, Mason Irwin; sisters, Betty Hartsfield and Mary Bielicki.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday March 10, 2012 from the First Baptist Church of Cleveland with lunch following the service. Dr. Mike Davis, Dr. Bob Massey and the Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Hill Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084 Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 3:00 PM.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 & 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
