Grace Sosebee Burton

Funeral services for Grace Sosebee Burton, age 82, of Clarkesville will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 27, 2012 from Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. Dr. Rick Quarles and Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate with interment to follow the service in the Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Burton died February 25, 2012.

Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on March 1, 1929, Mrs. Burton was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ione Gastley Sosebee. Mrs. Burton was formerly employed at Habersham Electric. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Mrs. Burton was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was formerly active with the adult choir and also with the children's sunday school program at Bethlehem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burton is preceded in death by husband Clyde Burton, sister Evelyn Tanksley, and brothers Dewey and James Sosebee.

Survivors include daughter Paige Burton of Clarkesville, son and daughter-in-law Benny Burton and Donna Burton of Martin, sisters Christine Spivey, and Annette Tench both of Clarkesville, sister and brother-in-law Gail and Charles Kastner of Powder Springs, brothers and sisters-in-law Tony and Linda Sosebee of Clarkesville and Charles and Julie Sosebee of Mt. Airy. Mrs. Burton is also survived by Granddaughters Julie and Jamie Burton and Great Granddaughter Tristin Helton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 2 - 4 PM and from 7 - 9 PM.
