Edna Harrison

Obituary Date: Saturday, February 4, 2012
Mr. Edna Mae Harrison born May 16, 1926 in Jackson County, to the late Paul Bonds and Fannie Cox Bonds. She was a care giver to many children and a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board for 50 years. She also served on the Deaconess board and Pastor Aid. Mrs. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Claude C. Harrison, sisters: Pauline Harrison and Marylene Lott, brothers: Marvin Bonds, Leonard Bonds, Curtis Bonds, one son-in-law: Joe Nathan Williams.

Mrs. Edna leaves to cherish her memories eight daughters: Mrs. Betty (Bobby) Dukes, Ms. Claudine McCluskey, Ms. Edith H. Williams (fiancé: Doug White), Ms. Shirley Harrison, Mrs. Sandra (Ronald) Neal, Ms. Vickie Harrison, and Ms. Barbara Harrison and Ms. Lisa Harrison, four sons: Mr. Bobby (Linda) Harrison, Mr. Johnny (Paul) Harrison, Mr. Lamar Harrison, Mr. Travis (Tasha) Harrison, all of Gainesville, GA, three adopted sons: Mr. Willie Lyle and Mr. Willie McCluskey and David Greenway, one adopted daughter: Earline Newton, five sisters: Mrs. Marian (Rev. J.W.) Evans, Mrs. Beatrice (George) Sturdivant, Ms. Kathleen Bonds, Ms. Vera Brown, Mrs. Betty (Matthew) Hopkins, one brother-in-law: Nathaniel Lott, two sister-in-laws: Ernestine Bonds and Ollie Smith fifteen grand children and 31 great grand children, one great-great grand child, a special grand daughter, Genesis Harrison, two special friends: Alice Mance and Emma Jordon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 7-8pm at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home
