Dorothy Sargent

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00p.m. Saturday January 28, 2012 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Dorothy Sargent age 79 of Gainesville. The Rev. Wayne Hicks and Rev. Larry Lynn will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sargent passed away Wednesday January 25 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Sargent was born in Gillsville, Georgia to the late John Arvil Turpin and Earleen Bryant Turpin. She was a homemaker and attended New Haven Church. She was preceded in death by her First Husband Ben Duncan, Second Husband Calvin Sargent, Son William Duncan, Brothers John Turpin and Marion Turpin and Sister Syble Grindle.

Survivors include Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Earnest Clay and Dena Duncan, Dawson County, Larry Joe and Gail Duncan, Dawson County, Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Jaunita and Tony Wood, Forsyth County, Joyce and Billy Monkus, Dawsonville, Janice and Danny Harkins, Clermont, Brother, Gerald Turpin, Jackson County, 14 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.
