Brenda Leona Sims Brown

Mrs. Brenda Leona Sims Brown was born November 16, 1952 to the late Odis and Geneva Randolph Sims in Jefferson, Jackson County, GA. She departed this life on January 1, 2012. Mrs. Brown was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 48 years, Mr. Ernest Lee Brown; son, Mr. Mitchell Sims; three beautiful grandchildren, Ms. Nicole Sims, Mr. Javonta Sims, and Mr. Davonta Sims; brother, Mr. Timothy (Elaine) Sims; sister, Mrs. Cheryl (Mitchell) Appleby; brothers-in-law, Mr. James (Margie) Brown, Mr. Oscar (Brenda) Brown and Mr. Samuel Tony Jackson; sister-in-law, Mrs. Lula Pittman; five aunts, nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends; and a very close friend, Mrs. Cynthia Gaither.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 4 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Theodore H. Braswell, Jr. and Pastor Bobby Pattman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 7 to 8 PM.
