Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Carey Vernell Seabolt Rogers, age 95 of Cleveland. Mrs. Rogers passed away Friday, December 9, 2011.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, December 12, 2011 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hefner officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park

Mrs. Rogers was born on March 14, 1916 in Lumpkin County the late Coleman and Fannie Dockery Seabolt. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her brother and sister in law, Arnold and Geneivie Seabolt, sister and brother in law Ilar and Loy Gooch, Lillian and Motien Morris, Gladys and Art Biggs and brother N.R. Seabolt as well as her daughters Sandra Rogers and Helen Rogers Hare.

Survivors include her husband of almost 76 years, Robert Rogers of Cleveland; sister in law Loudean Seabolt, brother and sister in law J.L. and Maxine Seabolt, sister and brother in law, Beatrice and Garnett Freeman

Sons and daughter in laws, Bill and Yvonne Rogers, of Gainesville, James and Eva Rogers of Cleveland and Royal and Kay Jackson of Cleveland.

Mrs. Rogers left a legacy in her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 3 pm, and 5 to8 pm
