Herbert Barner Buffington

Herbert Barner Buffington, age 94, of Lula passed away November 11, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.



Mr. Buffington was born September 21, 1917 in Hall County to the late John & Eva Buffington. He was a retired Carpenter and was a member of Timberridge Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Buffington was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Estelle Martin Buffington, sons in law, Dennis Pittman & Kenneth Parker, & grandson-in-law, Major Kevin Jenrette, sisters, Blonnie Mae Hawkins, Julia Martin, Nellie Brock, Ruth Jarrett, & Winefred Buffington, Brothers, J.W. Buffington & Joe Buffington.



Survivors include, daughters, Eddie Sue Pittman, & Linda Parker both of Lula, granddaughters & husbands, Michelle & Bryan Thomas of Lula, Regina & Steven Marchbanks of Gillsville, Shannon Jenrette of Lula, Diane & Gary Watkins of Lula, Janet & Michael Brock of Augusta, Rita Pittman of Lula, Allison & Stephen Watkins of Gillsville. 15 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Granddaughters a number of nieces & nephews also survive.



Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Timberridge Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Ryals & Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 Sunday at the funeral home.
