Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Nov. 4,2011 in Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. For John A. Sears, age 78 of Clermont.

Visitation will be Thursday Nov. 3,2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery

Mr. Sears died Nov.1,2011 at a private nursing home. John was of the Baptist faith and was a retired construction worker.

He is survived by his daughters, Fonda Martin and Wanda Stephens of Dawsonville, his sons, Kenneth Sears, Mitchell Sears of Dahlonega and Buck Sears of Clermont, his brothers, Grady Sears and Benny Sears, his sisters, Grace Davenport, Eunice Sutton,Bobbie Thomas and Ruby Bryant, 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.
