Barbara Jean Roper

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00p.m. Friday November 4 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Barbara Jean Roper age 65 of Alto. The Rev. Charles Blackstock and Rev. Michael Youngblood will officiate.

Interment will follow in Timberidge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesday and 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Roper passed away Tuesday November 1, 2011 following a sudden illness.

Mrs. Roper was born in Gwinnett County to the late T.J. Burnett and Ruby James Burnett. She had lived most of her life in Fulton County and later moved to Hall and Habersham Counties. She was a homemaker and a member of Light House Baptist Church in Dawson County. She was preceded in death by her Husband Larry Roper.

Survivors include Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Larry Harold Roper Jr. and Lucy Roper, Covington, Charles Eugene and Teresa Roper, Cumming, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Teresa and John Lizama, Alto, Brother and Sister-in-law, Edwin and Pat Burnett, Cumming, Sister, Willie Mae Burge, Cumming, Grandchildren, Lindsay Pearson, Michael Roper, Matthew Roper, Justin Roper, Austin Roper, Brandon Lizama, Lauren Lizama, Casey Lizama, Great Grandchildren, Avery and Jack Pearson, and a number of other relatives.
