Annie Laura Harris

Annie Laura "Ann" Harris, 92, of Dawsonville passed away Friday October 14, 2011 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born February 5, 1919 in Hall County to the late Silas and Susie Owen, she had lived in Dawson County since 1952. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and possessed a love for sewing, knitting, cooking, playing music and growing flowers. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Buster Harris; son, Owen Harris; six sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are her children, Morris and Judy Harris, Dawsonville, Elaine and Winston Jenkins, Flowery Branch, Denver and Gale Harris, Dawsonville; sister in law, Grace Harris, Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Ryan Harris, Jeff Jenkins, Lissa Shirley, Lorrie Griffith; and seven great grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 17, 2011 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Huff will officiate. Interment will follow in the Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 until 9 at the funeral home.
