Sara Lee Lipscomb Davidson

Sara Lee Lipscomb Davidson, 90, of Gainesville, Georgia, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Bell Minor Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville. Dr. Jerry Gill, Reverend Don Ormsbee and Reverend Jon Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.

Sara was born in Jackson County on June 25, 1921 to the late David Richard Lipscomb and Emma Belle Turner Lipscomb. She was the granddaughter of the late William Foster Turner and Cora Lee Harvil Turner and John Pittsfield Lipscomb and Sarah (Sallie) Ann Permillie Lipscomb. Faithful wife of the late Jack Murphy Davidson. Loyal sister of Wirron and Evelyn Lipscomb.

Sara was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus. And was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church, loyal member of The Willing Workers Sunday School Class, the Bonnie Moore Circle and the Golden Nuggets. She was a true and steadfast friend, beloved aunt, kind sister-in-law, and a thoughtful niece.

She was the devoted mother of Judy Davidson Winfrey and Jack M. Davidson, Jr.; Joyful mother-in-law to Jerome Winfrey and Beth Davidson. Precious Mama Sara to Kelly Winfrey, David and Melissa Winfrey, John and Valerie Winfrey, Thomas and Katie Winfrey, Leslie and Stephen Gee, Ryan and Katie Davidson, Timothy and Brook Davidson. Adoring Mama Sara to her great-grandchildren, Davidson, Hallie, Arianna, Quintin, Madison, Charlie, Tad, Nick, Asher, Sarah, Sally, Ryan, Samuel and Wyatt.
