Robert Eugene Whaley

Robert Eugene Whaley, age 86, of Forsyth County, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Whaley and his son, Bruce Whaley.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Whaley of Lilburn; son, David Whaley of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Todd Harrison of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Amphavanh "Noi" Whaley of Cumming; daughter-in-law, Michell Whaley of Doraville; grandchildren, Laura, Suzanne, Christine, Kenneth, David, Steve, Doug, Zachary, Michael, Alan, Austin, Aaron, Adam; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Doris Whaley of Modesto, CA; former wife, Mary Disbrow of Decatur; and many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Whittinghill officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
